Prediction Markets

Prediction markets are the core product of StreamClaw. Each market represents a specific, verifiable question tied to a live stream event — with ETH staked on the outcome. Markets are open, permissionless, and settled automatically through smart contracts the moment the underlying event concludes.

How Markets Are Structured

Every StreamClaw market has a defined structure that ensures clarity, fairness, and verifiability. A market specifies the stream source (the Twitch, YouTube, or Kick channel), the event type (esports match, crypto conference, gaming session, etc.), the prediction question (binary or multi-outcome), the betting window (when bets are accepted), and the settlement condition (the verifiable event that determines the outcome).

Markets are displayed on the platform with real-time viewer counts, stream status indicators (LIVE or OFFLINE), and current odds based on the distribution of staked ETH. As more participants bet, odds adjust dynamically to reflect the collective wisdom of the market.

Market Types

StreamClaw supports a wide range of market types across different streaming categories. The platform currently hosts markets in the following categories: Esports (including League of Legends, CS2, Dota 2, Valorant, and more), Gaming (World of Warcraft, Apex Legends, etc.), Crypto (blockchain conferences and announcements), Just Chatting, IRL, Special Events, and Music.

Reading Market Odds

Odds on StreamClaw are determined by the ratio of ETH staked on each outcome. If 70% of the total staked ETH is on Outcome A and 30% is on Outcome B, then a winning bet on Outcome B pays out approximately 2.33x the staked amount (before fees). This parimutuel-style system means that odds are always fair and determined entirely by market participants — not by a house.

Placing a Bet

1. Connect your MetaMask wallet on the StreamClaw platform.
2. Browse the Discover or Trending sections to find a market you want to participate in.
3. Select your predicted outcome and enter your ETH stake amount.
4. Confirm the transaction in MetaMask. Your ETH is now locked in the market contract.
5. Wait for the stream event to conclude. The oracle will verify the outcome and trigger settlement automatically.
6. If your prediction is correct, winnings are sent directly to your wallet.

Market Discovery

The StreamClaw platform provides three primary views for discovering markets. The Discover view shows all available markets across all categories, filterable by stream platform and market type. The Trending view surfaces the most active markets by betting volume and viewer count. The History view shows your past bets, outcomes, and profit/loss history.
